Five wrong operations of diesel generators need attention

The wrong operation of diesel generators will seriously affect the service life of diesel generators, so when we use diesel generators in daily use, we should pay attention to avoid some wrong operations. Let's take a look at the wrong operation of diesel generator sets in daily life. What are the ways?

Diesel generator wrong operation one: diesel engine running when the oil is insufficient

At this time, insufficient oil supply will cause insufficient oil supply on the surface of each friction pair, resulting in abnormal wear or burns. For this reason, before the start of the diesel generator and during the operation of the diesel engine, it is necessary to ensure sufficient oil to prevent cylinder pulling and tile burning due to lack of oil.

Diesel generator error operation two: with load emergency stop or sudden unloading load immediately after the shutdown

After the diesel engine generator is turned off, the circulation of the cooling system water stops, the heat dissipation capacity is sharply reduced, and the heated parts lose cooling, which is easy to cause the cylinder head, cylinder liner, cylinder block and other parts to overheat, produce cracks, or cause the piston to expand excessively and get stuck in the cylinder liner Inside. On the other hand, when the diesel generator stops without idling cooling, the friction surface will contain insufficient oil, and when the diesel engine starts again, it will aggravate the wear due to poor lubrication. Therefore, the diesel generator should be unloaded before flameout, and gradually reduce the speed, no-load operation for a few minutes (no-load operation for 3 minutes).

Diesel generator error operation three: after cold start without warm-up load operation

When the diesel generator is cold-started, due to the high oil viscosity and poor fluidity, the oil pump is insufficiently supplied, and the friction surface of the machine is poorly lubricated due to lack of oil, causing rapid wear, and even failures such as cylinder pulling and tile burning. Therefore, the diesel engine should run at idle speed after cooling and start to heat up. When the standby oil temperature reaches 40 ℃ or above (when used in winter, when the cooling water degree reaches 60 ℃), it should run with load; the machine should start with low gear and sequentially in each gear Drive a certain mileage until the oil temperature is normal and the oil supply is sufficient before turning to normal driving.

Diesel generator error operation four: diesel engine cold start after the throttle

If the throttle is slammed, the speed of the diesel generator will rise sharply, which will cause some friction surfaces on the aircraft to wear severely due to dry friction. In addition, when the throttle is hit, the piston, connecting rod and crankshaft receive large changes in force, causing severe impact and easy damage to parts.

Diesel generator error operation five: in the case of insufficient cooling water or cooling water, oil temperature is too high

Insufficient cooling water of diesel generators will reduce their cooling effect, and the diesel engine will overheat due to lack of effective cooling; excessive cooling water and oil temperature will also cause the diesel engine to overheat. At this time, the main thermal load of the diesel generator cylinder head, cylinder liner, piston assembly and valve is heavy, and its mechanical properties such as strength and toughness drop sharply, which increases the deformation of the parts, reduces the matching gap between the parts, and accelerates the wear of the parts., In severe cases, cracks and stuck parts may occur. The overheating of the diesel generator will also worsen the combustion process of the diesel engine, causing the injector to work abnormally, the atomization is poor, and the carbon deposit increases.

Internal combustion engine noise is a complex noise composed of multiple sound sources. According to the nature of the noise, it can be divided into aerodynamic noise, mechanical noise, and combustion noise.

A generator is a mechanical device that converts other forms of energy into electrical energy. It is driven by a water turbine, steam turbine, diesel engine or other power machinery. It converts the energy generated by water flow, air flow, fuel combustion or nuclear fission into mechanical energy and transmits it to the generator. The generator is converted into electrical energy.

During the operation of the gasoline engine, various failures will occur due to the natural wear of the parts and improper use and maintenance. The fuel supply system and the ignition system often fail. Sometimes the two systems fail at the same time, and more complicated failures will occur, which brings certain difficulties to troubleshooting.

The fuel consumption of gasoline generators is high, and a large amount of oil escapes to the combustion chamber, which will increase the accumulation of spark plug combustion chambers, cylinder liners, etc., causing the pistons and piston rings to glue, seize, and fail to work. At the same time, due to the carbon deposits in the piston group, the main parts such as the cylinder liner are worn out, which in turn seriously affects the fuel consumption of the engine, and seriously affects the power and economy of the internal combustion engine. In addition, the burning engine oil makes the engine emit black smoke, pollute the environment, and endanger people's health.

In the case of normal operation of the unit, according to the need for electricity, the power supply circuit is connected to start power supply. Generators are not allowed to leave the unit and chat without authorization, and pay attention to the operation of the unit at any time, and whether the voltage and temperature rise are normal.
